About
Me

Monica Zesch’s dance journey began in her hometown of St. Louis, where she joined the Dance Incorporated studio family at age four and soon was recruited into the studio’s Midwest Performing Arts company. Over the next fifteen years at Dance Inc., she fell in love with a wide variety of dance styles under the direction of her mentors: Shannon Lee West, Camaron Ballard, and Natalie Williams. She complemented her dance education with training at the Center of Creative Arts 'COCA' in St. Louis, followed by her acceptance into The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Upon entrance, she was awarded both the Boston Conservatory Scholarship and the Anamarie Sarazin Dance Scholarship. While training under the conservatory’s esteemed dance faculty, she choreographed a number of original pieces and worked closely in residencies with world-renowned guest artists - Aszure Barton, Daniel Pelzig, Heather Stewart, Robin Aren, and more. Alongside her dance studies and performance career, Monica has a strong background in dance pedagogy. She’s passionate about spreading the joy of dance in her community, having taught students as young as four years old and, more recently, embarked on the journey of teaching the senior community in Boston through the Movement Matters outreach program. Her passion and love for dance shines through in all she does, from the stage to her studio to her studies.
